Everybody was complaining about how much nude dresses there was on the GGA red carpet yesterday on Twitter, it was so funny. But there where actually a lot of trends, there where rights and wrongs. Let’s watch them next.
The nudes: Charlize Theron one of my favs in a nude Dior looking like a princess, Diane Lane flawless in a Reem Acra and one of the surprises Julie Bown in Reen Acra also. It could have been a disaster between Diane and Julie, wearing both nudes Reem Acra dresses, thank god it wasn’t the same dress. Also in nude: Kate Beckinsale in a fabulous Roberto Cavalli, Kristen Wiig in Bill Blass, that dress is similar to the one she used last year and Jessica Biel trying weeding dresses this one is an Elie Saab. Everyone said she looked like a grandma but I love it. Heidi Klum in Calvin Klane and Lorraine Shwarts necklace, I want that Lorraine neck piece so bad! the dress isn’t fitted for her body. She is a model for sake! Amy Phoeler in Naeem Khan oh! she is so funny but there nothing funny about this dress, the sleeves don’t have the right length they should be a little bit shorter or longer and Sarah Hyland in Dolce and Gabbana, she have a great body and the dress shows it but it looks a little bit prom dress for me.In white: Amanda Peet in Marc Jacobs if the top had been fitted it will looks ten times better, Georgina Chapman in Marchesa I really like this dress I’m obsess with it actually and Busy Phillips in a Antonio Berardi dress, nobody told her that fringes are so 2011? Two tone: Claire Danes in a gorgeous J. Mendel black and white dress, Emma “perfect” Stone in Lanvin with an eagle belt, Emma never goes wrong! and the goddess Kate Winslet in black and nude by Yves Saint Laurent. In black: Debra Messing in Monique Lhuillier fabulous!, Julianne Moore in Chanel Couture I will like this dress without the top skirt and Rooney Mara in Nina Ricci, she wears too much black but it looks so good in her. Love it!Salma Hayek flawless in Gucci, Zooey Deschanel in custom Prada I love Zooey but this looks like a unfinished dress and the white neckline is too much for me to handle and Mila Kunis in Dior. Mila was the sexiest women last year but she looks boring in this dress. The darks: The Gucci gown that Evan Rachel Wood is using is so amazing that cause in me some fashion wet dreams and it goes so perfectly with her personality, but in the other hand Madonna is wearing a Reem Acra that cause me nightmares. But is hard to criticize Madonna, when you look at her the less you see is her dress. It’s freackin’ Madonna!Blue: Freida Pinto in a bigger-than-her Prada gown, Jodie Foster looking better than usual in Armani. The black shoes ruined for me, but you have to give credit to Jodie she ever looked more feminine in her life and Kelly Osbourne in Zac Posen. I love Kelly and I love her hair but I think that the dress makes her look old.Dark Blue: Michelle Williams in Jason Wu, I love the dress and I love her but not the two together, Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang this is how a red carpet look should be. Perfect! and the always right Helen Mirren in Badgley Mishka I love this color on her and I think she would have look good in Michelle’s dress.Glee girls: Amber Riley in red Badgley Mishka, Leah Michelle in Marchesa. I think she has practiced those poses in the mirror since she was five! Diana Agron in a Giles Deacon laser cut red dress it looks fantastic! and Naya Rivera in Vera Wang, this dress is horrible she was one of the worst dressed of the night.Reds: Natalie Portman in Lanvin, it doesn’t make justice for the body she have is funny that has a similar red detail to the Angelina’s Versace, Reese Witherspoon in Zac Posen, that dress doesn’t goes with that hair and Tina Fey in Oscar de la Renta I’ll give credits to Tina for don’t wear black but she shouldn't have wore that neither. The stars: Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie both in Versace. I can’t say anything negative about any of this women. The worst: Connie Britton in a vintage Italian dress by The Way We Wore, this dress is a horror story, so simple it’s the Golden Globes Awards for god’s sake! Romola Garai in Alessandra Rich this could have been a wonderfull dress it is just bad edited and Sarah Michelle Gellar… well I’m surprised that this is a Monique Lhuillier dress, exaggerated fabric in a exaggerated dress.
My choice has the best dressed is Nicole Kidman in the Versace, I know there was so many others but this is the perfect Golden Globes dress and it looks better on her than does in the model on the S/S2012 runway.
Who was your best a worst choice? Comment!
This is the best picture of the night!
