El hecho de que Missoni elaborara una línea económica para una tienda departamental como Target, crea en mí una serie de sentimientos y pensamientos encontrados. Por un lado es ¡fantástico! Mucha gente va a tener acceso a prendas de calidad con un nivel alto de clase, un punto más para nuestra lucha de vestir bien al mundo, pero en el lado oscuro de esta historia estas ventas económicas bajaran el nivel de esta marca. No económicamente, para nada, el 12 de septiembre a la medianoche, cuando se dio inicio de la venta online de la línea la cantidad de compradores ocasionaron la caída del sitio web de Target por dos horas. Hablo del estatus como marca, esa exclusividad del target irónico con el que trabajaba la marca italiana de mujeres y jóvenes amantes por la moda, quien usaba Missoni sabe que es Missoni y lo que representa.
Me tendré que acostumbrar a ver un sweaters Missoni sobre jeans con brillos. O trajes de baño Missoni con sandalias “Tropicana”.
La línea “Missoni for Target” tiene, además, ropa para bebes, hombres y niños. Así como elementos de papelería y decoración. Veremos zigzags por doquier de ahora en adelante.

The fact that Missoni create an economic clothing line for a departmental store as Target makes me thinking it twice and confuses me about my own feelings. In one hand it’s FANTASTIC! So many people will have access to quality clothes with high levels of class. One more point in the fight for a better dressed world. But in the dark side of this history is that Missoni’s level will fall sadly. In economic terms this move of the brand is great. The opening sale night- 12 September at midnight- the Target website went down for two hours. I’m talking ‘bout the status that this Italian brand have for fashion lovers’ woman. The people that wear Missoni knows what kind of clothes they are wearing and what represents Missoni for the fashion world, meanwhile the Target shopper not so much.
