Kate and Laura Mulleavy son las hermanas diseñadoras detrás de la marca californiana Rodarte y ahora se lanzan al mundo cinematográfico con Woodshock, una cinta que marca el debut como directora de ambas.
Las hermanas también se encargaron de escribir el film. Rodarte es una marca que siempre ha estado fuertemente inspirada por su lugar natal California, Kate y Laura han manifestado, en múltiples ocasiones, su amor-obsesión por los bosques californianos, de hecho su colección de primavera en 2006 estuvo fuertemente influenciada por los años de juventud que pasaban Muir Woods.
Rodarte es una marca que ha logrado perfeccionar el arte de unir la belleza, misticismo y oscuridad en un solo atuendo, pues estas tres son las características más destacadas de sus diseños.
Kirsten Dunts protagoniza esta cinta de terror en la que encarna a Theresa, una mujer entrando al oscuro mundo de la pérdida y que se vuelve adicta a un alucinógeno. El film se estrenará el 15 de septiembre de este año. Las hermanas Mulleavy no son ignorantes en este género pues tras graduarse de la universidad, pasaron un año entero viendo películas de horror japonesas en el sótano de sus padres.
